Privacy Policy
In short: we collect nothing. Album Maker has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Your photos and albums stay on your device.
Overview
Album Maker ("the App") is a photo album creation app for iOS. Your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Data collection
We do not collect any personal data. Specifically, the App uses:
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No crash reporting services
- No advertising identifiers
- No device fingerprinting
- No user accounts or registration
- No email collection
- No location tracking
- No cookies or web tracking
- No third-party SDKs that collect data
2. Photos & media
- Album Maker accesses your photos only when you explicitly select them using Apple's PHPickerViewController
- We never browse, scan, or access your full photo library
- Selected photos are copied into the app's local storage on your device
- Original photos in your library are never modified
- Photo metadata (date, GPS location) is extracted locally for album organization and is never transmitted anywhere
3. Face detection
- Face detection runs entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework
- No facial data is stored, uploaded, or shared with anyone
- Face data exists only temporarily in memory during processing
4. Data storage
- All albums, photos, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device
- We operate no server that receives or stores your personal data
- Our website serves static pages only and never receives your albums, photos, or any identifier
- Data is kept in the app's private sandbox container
5. iCloud sync (Premium)
- If you enable iCloud Sync, your album data is synced using Apple's CloudKit
- CloudKit data is end-to-end encrypted by Apple
- We cannot access, read, or decrypt your synced data
- iCloud Sync is optional and disabled by default
- Only devices signed into your Apple ID can access synced albums
- You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in Settings
6. Subscriptions & purchases
- Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store
- We do not collect or store any payment information
- Purchase receipts are verified locally using Apple's StoreKit 2 framework
- We do not have access to your Apple ID, payment method, or billing details
7. Third-party services
The app embeds zero third-party SDKs or frameworks that collect data. There is no Firebase SDK, no Google Analytics, no Facebook SDK, no Amplitude or Mixpanel, no Crashlytics or crash reporting, and no advertising networks.
In-app web content. The Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Support screens load pages from this website. Opening one of those screens makes an ordinary web request. This site is a set of static pages hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which — like any web server — records standard technical log data such as IP address, user agent, and the page requested. We use that for nothing: no analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no accounts. Google's handling of it is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
This request happens only when you open Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, or Support. Nothing about your albums, photos, or device is transmitted, and if the page can't be reached the app shows a copy bundled inside the app instead — so those screens work offline.
The only external service interaction is with Apple's App Store for subscription management and Apple's CloudKit for optional iCloud sync. Both are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
8. Children's privacy
Album Maker is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 or any other user. No personal information is required for it to function. Since we collect zero data, there is no children's data to protect. The App complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).
9. App Store privacy label
Our App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

10. Data deletion
You can delete all app data at any time:
- Open Album Maker → Settings → Privacy & Data
- Tap "Delete All App Data"
- All albums, photos, settings, and preferences are permanently erased
Alternatively, deleting the app from your device removes all associated data.
If you have iCloud Sync enabled, synced data can be removed from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Album Maker → Delete Data.
11. Security
- All data is stored in the app's sandboxed container, protected by iOS security
- Album Lock uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework (Face ID / Touch ID)
- iCloud data is encrypted by Apple's CloudKit
- We follow Apple's security best practices
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Your rights
Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to access or export, correct or modify, delete beyond the app data deletion described above, or port to another service. This applies in all jurisdictions, including under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and LGPD (Brazil).
